Richie,I want you to do your research on the exact history before interviewing this guy because he is not always telling the truth. You left him off the hook when he said Asantes are the reason why we have regions in Ghana which is a blatant lie! This is the truth: Why did Ghana end up with regions? The regional system predates independence. Under British colonial rule: The British divided the Gold Coast into administrative regions for easier governance. These included: Colony (Southern Gold Coast) Ashanti Northern Territories Trans-Volta Togoland These were colonial administrative units, not created because of Asante resistance.
