her story is about taking back control of her autonomy after her defilement by a daedric prince and then the use of her unwanted power by her father. her CHOOSING to be single after thousands of years asleep and the violent transformation that turned her into a vampire is alright. if you love serana then you respect that she wants to have that autonomy for herself for a while. to experience being human again and to learn what it means to be herself on her own first.

It's such a hard thing for most players to do because compared to literally every other marry option or even follower option, Serana is so much better it's not even funny. It's not hard to see how you get attached with the dialogue she speaks with the way she says it, also Laura Bailey as the VA. But at the end of the day she makes it clear that her and the divines don't mix. To have her stand and get married in a Temple of Mara of all places is something she wouldn't do.

Serana only seems deep and complex because every other character is a cardboard cutout. She doesnt really have anything to say outside her quest, she doesnt have any thoughts on the ethics of vampirism outside her family drama. They really just wanted to do a Castlevania so they needed an Alucard stand in and they made it a woman.
