Embora o Windows faça automaticamente uma alocação padrão de memória compartilhada, a definição de uma quantidade fixa de RAM é realizada diretamente na BIOS. Esse compartilhamento traz uma vantagem importante: um ganho significativo de desempenho em jogos, especialmente em processadores que utilizam gráficos integrados.
