The newborn and infant stage is where you're building trust with the mom showing her that you respect her rules for the baby so that as the baby gets older, she might trust you to be alone with the baby because she's confident you're going to respect the rules when she's not there.

yeah so grandparents can be pdfls too unfortunately and it's better to be safe than sorry. So no one gets alone time with my baby. at least not until she can talk and understand consent fully.

at that age the babies needs to be with its mother, it will recognise her smell, sound of her voice etc to take the baby away from the mother for an extended length of time without good reason is not so much as bonding with it as traumatising it
