This wasn’t a music video, it was cinema. I was 14 years old when this came out. MTV was culture, not content and I terribly miss it so. MTV died because attention economics changed. Reality TV was cheaper, faster, and kept people watching longer. Once ratings proved that drama was stickier than art, the network followed the money. Music videos are expensive. Reality shows are cheap chaos. Sad.
