@annachillanna: 10 days post op my total hysterectomy, and here I am driving my youngest to school. I was supposed to wait two weeks, but when the other parent is stubborn and doesn’t want to help, you have no choice but to go against doctor’s orders. My youngest goes to school on the military base close to my house and you have to have a pass to get on base. We could’ve done the pass this past Monday but I couldn’t drive. My Bestie couldn’t take me and he refused to pick me and the boys up (J’s meds were ready for pick up from the base pharmacy too). He said he could only do Monday since he was going to be out of town the rest of the week. Lo and behold he lied. He was not out of town. He had plans and didn’t wanna tell me the plans, and I never asked for his plans. I just asked why did you lie? Why couldn’t we have just done this on Tuesday? Had I known that you were available this whole week, then maybe we could’ve done it on Wednesday. I tried to ask his parents for help and he told me to stop bothering them and as a custodial parent I need to figure everything out on my own. Am I stubborn as well, yes but I guess I need to figure out what I’m doing wrong when I ask for his support and helping me with the kids. maybe I just need to change the way I ask?
