My mom went to FIDM. She earned her associates degree in fashion design and was accepted to FIT to go for her bachelors. She's told me her ideas, I've seen her sketches, I know she wanted to go to Paris for schooling and show her line at fashion week. Her parents said NY was too far. She became a customer service agent at à bank after a few years of working at places like bridal shops and designing for Claire's in the 2000s. Now we're working on clothing line together and she makes me sweaters and headbands on the spot. Her clothes will see fashion week. We're just doing it together now.
