Here’s a few particularly toxic items I’ll never buy from Target 👇 ❌ Ziploc Bags: These can release microplastics and other endocrine disrupting compounds into the food you store in them! ✅ Swap the ziploc bags for silicone bags for cold storage. ❌ Dixie Paper Plates: That “grease-proof shield” on many coated paper plates is a plastic liner likely made with PFAS (forever chemicals). ✅ Swap the paper plates out for something cleaner like sugarcane-based plates instead (like Everspring, unbleached). ❌ Tide Laundry Detergent: These types of detergents are often made with petroleum-based toxins that end up into your clothes and potentially into you. ✅ Swap this out for something like Everspring Free & Clear. ❌ Conventional Dishwasher Tabs They leave gut-wrecking residues right on your dishes. ✅ Swap these out for something like Blueland tabs. ❌ Fragrance Plug-ins (and everything else): These synthetic scents are straight-up hormone hijackers. ✅ Swap them out for essential oil diffusers instead. ❌ Scented Trash Bags: You’re literally filling your house with one of the most notorious VOC off-gassers! ✅ Swap them out for unscented and recycled or biodegradable trash bags instead. ❌ Plastic Storage Containers (Even BPA-Free): BPA-Free doesn’t mean safe…many contain toxic chemicals like other bisphenols or phthalates. ✅ Swap them out for glass containers instead!
