The honor chasm, the bridge crew, the Tower, Navani’s prayer and Dalinar giving away Oathbringer. This was the first step in the Journey Before Destination. 🙏🏻

I am a big fan of all the first four books giving them all 4 stars or above, but there is no denying that “the Way of Kings” is the best written book of Brandon Sandersons, perhaps because he spent so many years on it. The later books might have bigger plots and more epic moments, but never has so many different threads been tied together to such a rewarding ending. Not a single word out of more than a thousand pages is meaningless; they all play a role in the greater story. It does not even need the later books to be great by its own. Kaladin, Tien, Dalinar, Amaram, Sadeas, Adolin, Jasnah, Elhokar, Syl, the bridgemen. All of them are perfectly written in this book. Truly a masterpiece of fiction.

SPOILERS! The fact that Shard Blades are made from a Spren, a life, means that the value of a shardblade really is the same value. He traded one he could get back to earn thousands that were destined to never return had he not made that deal. It's such a great moment
