Nothing pisses me off more than the suggestion you shouldn't be able to walk into a restaurant at any time prior to their closing time. As a restaurant owner, I would move my closing time if I didn't want guest coming in.

I mean if a restaurant closes at 10 and I show up at 9:30 that’s your job. The owner of the restaurant doesn’t want to stop making money after 9 or they would close earlier.

Sorry but I have been in restaurants that are not busy and it taken me over 20 minutes to get drinks ordered. Then even longer for the food order. The tips system in amarica is a joke

I have a habit of stacking plates when I'm finished, in my mind making it easier for servers to clear and clears space on the table, perhaps a little OCD. Is it actually easier for the server or is it annoying ?

I get it. No modifications, don’t come in an hour before closing… Sounds like the chef doesn’t want to be inconvenienced, not the server.

I’ve worked in the service industry since 1983. A 20% tip should be earned , not assumed /expected .
