Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline, but it does not “fast track” God’s purposes in the sense of forcing or accelerating His will. Scripture shows that fasting humbles us, sharpens our focus, intensifies prayer, and aligns our hearts with God’s purposes (Psalm 35:13; Joel 2:12; Acts 13:2–3). God’s plans are accomplished in His perfect timing, not by the speed of our spiritual disciplines (Ecclesiastes 3:11; Zechariah 4:6). Fasting changes us, not God’s timetable.

Oh no. I just had a grape to see if they were good while on my 3rd day of a 3 day fast. It completely slipped my mind. I’m about 5 hours out to my completion. Does that break my fast?

So does that mean nothing but just water? I was doing it where I ate only ate once a day at supper. That ended in April/may. Now I seem to have such a hard time doing it again. How do we start again? I’ve prayed and still find myself eating all day
