@calistaisntreading: Replying to @Lauryn A I love my band but I don’t know if I want to deal with this the rest of my life 😭😭 #fyp #weddingring #wedding #kayjewelers #diamond
Just an FYI… some rings are NOT made to sized smaller! there is a limit to sizing down before diamonds begin to fall out and will keep falling out.

When you get it back, take it to a local jewelry store and have them double check that everything is good. When I get something from Kays, that is what I like to do. The last thing I got was a tennis bracelet and the local jeweler said every diamond was loose and fixed it for me.

I would ask for my money back and to a small reputable jewelry store and start from scratch

Not just three diamonds in 3.5 months, but three diamonds in 3.5 months when the rings were often safe in a drawer, as you described!! That's super duper not normal and Kay should be mortified.

They really can’t “tighten” the prongs since they’re shared, that’s why this keeps happening ☹️I’m sorry girl I’d get a new ring. If you absolutely want stones and want to be able to wear your ring all the time, look into something channel-set, it’s by far the most secure!

If this is the band you have your heart set on, you should ask them to custom order this ring in your size. That usually costs a little more, but I feel like they shouldn’t charge you because you’ve had the ring in and out of there so many times.

I wrote this on your previous video but you have so many comments I’ll post it again here - It’s the resizing!!!! They need to make an entire new ring for you not resize the original one. My jeweler wouldn’t resize a size 7 ring to my finger because I am a size 5 and he said the stretching would cause the diamonds to fall didn’t matter how talented they are. So I had to wait for them to make me the same ring on the size I requested. Then when fall started my fingers shrunk lol! It was 1/4 too big and they added sizing beads! Now it fits perfectly and the ring wasn’t compromised. If by summer my fingers swell again they will remove the beads.

As a jeweler I will tell you it really depends on this style of ring what the undercarriage and quality of setting. If the diamonds are set poorly and there is not enough metal underneath the stones holding them in place your stone will come loose and fall out

Now you know why they keep selling that ring 🫠 because they can get extra money out of you guys for trying to make the ring more structurally sound

As a former manager, please ask the store for the district manager name. Have a discussion with the DM and ask for the ring to be special ordered in the size you need. This type of ring shouldn’t be resized very much because the tension lets up on holding the diamonds securely. Please know the new ring will most likely take several weeks if it’s not already in stock. If your center stone is lost, the store has to replace it under the diamond warranty - keep up on your 6 month inspections. If it’s a certified diamond they have to replace the diamond with an equal to or greater quality than it already is. Have your certificate on hand and make sure the cert number is checked during each inspection. I hope this is taken care of!

You could get the same style band but in a bezel setting instead! Each diamond will just be set within the gold medal, so there would be like a gold medal rim around each stone

Not that my opinion matters but just a suggestion. Take your existing bands to an independent jeweler. They can use the gold and the diamonds and completely remake the bands for you with just the cost of labor since you’re bringing the material, they also won’t have to send it off. Yes these types of bands are notorious for the stones falling out but there’s always a reason they aren’t just loose for no reason. If you’ve had it resized smaller you can just have it remade in the correct size initially but you may have to loose some diamonds. Also try a spacer band between the two (a thin/small simple gold band or mine has pave diamonds in it) just something lower than the other rings to keep them from rubbing together. The rubbing together loosens to diamonds!

So many chain stores will just sell sell sell to make store quotes but they don’t educate you on what your buying. I love the look of the bands you have I wanted that style so badly but our local jeweler explained why they advised against it and educated me on the integrity of that type of ring setting. He explained you can still get a “bubble style band” but have his be a little more secure by having it be two prongs like the picture below. Hopefully they make it right and get your rings figured out so you can wear them stress free

If you have enough issues with the ring I’d reach out to headquarters. That’s to much. Helzeburg said that if I’d had another issue they may have been able to switch it out

I feel your pain! Such an upsetting thing to happen. They said it was because of resizing but they should’ve told me that to begin with?

Have them remake your ring in the size you need. If you resize a ring it is more likely to lose diamonds. But if it is made in the correct size from the beginning it should be fine.

Two years, always worn to everything, nothing has ever fallen off! Not from kays though, seems the way the made or resized it might be the issue?
