Make sure you take him to a biological dentist. They have them in TJ. He might not need them out. Leads to a lot of infection and in some people jaw recession.

I live in QC too. The whole deep cleaning thing is newer I think because I’m the last 5 years my whole family gets told that we need it every time 🤦🏻♀️

The Deep cleaning is scaling and root planning. CDT code D4341-4342. It’s for patients with periodontal disease. They scale below the gum line. They remove the calculus and tartar. To be considered to have periodontal disease you need to have 4 mm pockets and above. Many offices over treatment plan perio disease or they are very aggressive with attacking it early. A large portion of the adult population does have perio disease however it is over diagnosed.

We had one dentist we liked but noticed every time we went each had cavities. Every single time. After a falling out I changed dentists. I haven’t had a cavity since. 7 yrs no cavities. I swear it was just to pay for his fancy equipment and the Christmas vacations he took his entire staff on.

our system is broken because we try to give care for all but can't afford it. Mexico is all about if you can pay, you get services. it is based off money, not equity. the dollar goes farther than pesos so of course we get better service in Mexico.
