I’ve homeschooled other kids using Acellus (PowerHomeschool is the exact same program but cheaper because there are no teachers and you use it how you want) but I don’t feel it’s the greatest, it’s boring for younger kids and overpriced. The Good and the Beautiful I feel works well for some kids and can be a good learning to read curriculum for some but I’m teaching some kids now that it wasn’t a good fit for, personally I don’t like it after 2nd grade though, even for the kids it worked for. Miacademy is very easy to use and I think it would work well for beginners. I feel the PDFs are super important, they reinforce the learning, but I don’t use them all, I pick and choose the ones I want to use from each lesson. Also, the practices can be way too much repetition for some kiddos, so if they pick up on it super fast, you can not use them or only use a couple of levels.

Christian light education is the cheapest I’ve seen we LOVE IT!!! It’s an open and go curriculum my second grader was able to do most of the work on its own they review everything a lot! Every light unit comes with two quizzes and a final test there’s a total of 10units for most subjects feel free to message me 🥰

we have used Language Arts - Abeka (loved it but it’s expensive) then all about reading (no a fan, my kid doesn’t like it, too much preparation on my end) now we are going to switch to Christian Light for grade 2 Writing - essentials in writing with videos and we love it very much Math- Singapore Dimensions (love it but very instance) but now for Grade 2 we will use Saxon Social studies - weekly studies it’s newspaper style we love it Science- weekly studies it’s newspaper style we love it

Christian Light Education is solid. Still haven’t found something I like for Science and Social Studies. I’m going to look into Campfire Curriculum to supplement with certain topics for unit studies in the meantime

I use my father’s world for kindergarten right now and every written out for you and 99% of everything is included. Any thing you need that is extra you usually have in your home for the crafts/ snack ideas

I just hop on teacherspayteachers and print off whatever I need from there. You don't have to use a curriculum and none of them are one size fits all.

We're currently using Christian light for the 1st grade after using Abeka last year. He has done so good & I love how it constantly is reviewing things so they don't forget.

Masterbooks is a great option to jump into. Reasonable priced. TGTB have free options for LA and Math. Good for you to try out before you commit with cost.

Logic of English .. Singapore math ..great big world .. bju bible study and bju science Zaner bloswer handwriting and spelling is what I’m currently using for my two boys.
