No one should ever tell you to cover it up regardless. It makes you even more unique and honestly I don't even have scars, just sensory issues for real lols

For the cold, maybe those super thin soft/silky fleece scarves. During summers I used to use those over my swim suit bottoms cause other covers would irritate my scars. They aren’t like super warm but help wind chill and certain ones are airy enough to not really touch skin.

My c section scar is a keloid and the band from my underwear or pants can be super uncomfortable/painful sometimes 😞 I get it.

I have a long keloid scar on my stomach basically starting above and then around and down from having a tumor near my aorta removed in 2011 and I 1,000% feel you on how itchy it gets, it’s absolutely awful. The skin gets itchy and then I can’t really itch it because of the scar being raised/a keloid. The keloid has mostly faded and some of it isn’t as raised any more, but it still sucks.

The most beautiful girl in my middle school had a scar like this. I always thought she showed it because she was confident, I had no idea it was sensitive.

have u ever tried those skin patch things that they use for after tattoos? so it has a protective layer and things dont rub directly on the scar. I'm a wus when it come to the cold and would hate to have somewhere just exposed to the icy air.

Not that it will be the solution to ending how sensitive your nerve endings are. But has your doctors recommended having nerve blocks done? There are injections that can be done to reset the nerves.

People can be so awful! Not that you’re looking for advice but I had mine injected with a steroid because it hurt so bad I couldn’t have anything touch it either! After a few rounds of the injections, it doesn’t even bother me anymore. Hopefully you can get some relief too🤍

i have scars on my sternum and i hide them and never show cleavage and my scars hurt more in the summer cause of sweat and the fact that my boobs push my scars together

I've had two open heart surgeries and the scar I have it gets easily irritated even years after having it, I not only have the main scar but I have a large one on my collar bone. I can't wear a bra anymore, not like I cared anyways but most shirts that are high up make me not only hurt but I feel choked, so I always go for a v neck or something low. if my scars make people uncomfortable not my problem. I'm sorry you have to deal with the constant irritation but I feel you wholeheartedly.
