@able.hands.rehab: 👌🏼Let’s tape for thumb CMC arthritis 👌🏼 👍🏼 You’ll need two pieces of K-Tape, one long “Y” and one short piece 👍🏼 Using the “Y”, anchor at the base of the thumb. Then take the one side and wrap around the thumb with mild tension, anchor. Take the second side and wrap around the thumb in the opposite direction, anchor 👍🏼 Using the second piece, attach on the “muscle belly” of the thumb, and “swoop” around the base of the thumb to cradle the joint And voila! Bye bye thumb pain. 👍🏼 Remember, make sure the skin is clean and dry. Length of tape will vary per patient. No tension with anchor pieces.
