So I have 3 sons and I was like you 20 years ago. You know what my beach days turned into? It turned into me watching random peoples kids at the beach, me reprimanding other peoples kids, my kids getting toys stolen, me feeding other peoples kids etc. I’m done. I’m good. Just because your kid is an only child doesn’t mean my kids have to play with her. When I’m at the beach, leave me alone and teach your kid to play by herself or better yet you play with her.

These responses show me why everybody’s so lonely. You guys get on the Internet and cry. “I’m so lonely. I have no friends… “ And then you turn around and say “I have boundaries. Nobody should be talking to me, I don’t wanna talk to you just cause I’m at the beach”That’s why you’re lonely that’s why you don’t meet anybody. Also, y’all are setting your kids up to be lonely. You’re not teaching them how to socialize appropriately. You’re messing your kids up.

These comments … how can anyone disagree. This “ I don’t owe you anything mindset” has gotten too far and is making humans rude and forget basic manners. There was no harm in them just saying hi and having their kids say their name back to your daughter 😭 it’s ok if they didn’t wanna play. Right after they could’ve been like “ we’re gonna go here but we hope you have fun”😊 and said bye. It would’ve taken 1 minute and doesn’t harm anyone.

I’m shocked at how unfriendly people are. You should be the best version of yourself when you’re on vacation. You’re on vacation! And to me, a beach vacation should require some level of social skills, but clearly from these comments that isn’t the case.

I don’t know….i wouldn’t want to feel responsible for someone else’s child at the beach and I would want my own family bonding time, especially if this was my vacation.

I use that as a lesson to my daughter and say right in front of the whole family: “awe, girly some people aren’t friendly. Let’s keep it moving, we don’t stay in spaces that bring the vibes down or feel off.” I want my kid to identify unfriendly, unsafe, and unwelcoming environments so she doesn’t stick around or settle for less. 🤣🤣
