Thats why you always make sure the parts are sitting on your box, or in your bay before starting a repair. I dont understand why people start a job without making sure parts are actually available first

im the parts department i work in, we make sure that the tech chooses the parts they need, and show them first hand what is and what isn't in stock. and they are (mostly) trained to check if parts are in before the start on a vehicle

We have a set of Dollie’s that go on the pinch weld. They’re kinda like jackstands with casters. I watched a guy put those under a police car with no subframe in it and push it into his dead bay
