A guest arriving late is awful, arriving 5 to 10 min early is very polite!! Sorry just my opinion! My mom always said two places never to be late, wedding and funeral they will start without you!!!

I hosted a birthday dinner once, and my husbands dad + his wife + her family (total 11 ppl) arrived 40min EARLY… I died when I saw them, AND they came empty handed 😫😫😫

I need to work on the offering unsolicited advice. My 9-5 is problem solving, so when people talk about issues where I see a solution, it’s so hard to not interject. But I have come to learn that some folks either want to vent, sit in their misery without helping themselves, or both.
