If people stopped going to the ER for shit that can be handled by urgent care or their primary, the ER wouldn’t be so overwhelmed. Urgent care is literally down the street and people will sit in the ER for hours for a cough.

I work In the ER! we are so overwhelmed! no room on the floors, people have to stay and be treated in the ER! I promise you we are doing the best we can! 😪

Working in the ER. Most of the people that come in with the minor things are those that are on assistance, they don't receive a bill, so it doesn't matter to them. They come in no matter what!

This is how it is everywhere. You know what causes it? People that don’t need to be there. An emergency room is for emergencies. If your daughter wasn’t seen for that long then she could have went to her doctor or urgent care. Or just stayed at home to rest.

My husband had a stroke went from Heywood to UMass Memorial. There are beds lining every inside wall of the ER. My husband spent 3 nights in the hallway before getting 1 night in a room. Healthcare is ridiculous these days
