Police say a 43-year-old man is dead after flipping his golf cart while playing in a league at the Copper Hills Golf Course in Oxford. Eric Ostdiek, of Troy, was driving a 2007 Club Car golf cart on the course Thursday just after 7 p.m. with a 41-year-old Macomb Township resident in the passenger seat. According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Department, Ostdiek drove through the tee box and started down a hill to retrieve an errant ball. He saw a steep drop off ahead and attempted to turn the wheel sharply. The cart rolled over and landed on top of Ostdiek, severely injuring himself and the passenger.
