Not real; The screenshot is from a widely circulated body-cam clip of police briefly detaining a man in a suit during a traffic stop. The stop was later acknowledged as mistaken and he was released. That part is real. What is not real is everything in the giant caption plastered over it. ⸻ The false claims in the caption The overlay says: “Police mistakenly arrested FBI Director, forced cop chief to apologize & fired all officers involved” Every part of that is false. • No FBI Director was arrested. There has been no arrest of the FBI Director or any senior federal official in the U.S. That would be one of the biggest news stories in the country and would be everywhere — DOJ, CNN, AP, Reuters, etc. Nothing like that has happened. • No police chief was forced to apologize in relation to this clip. There was no national apology tied to this video. • No officers were fired. In the real incident the officers were not fired — at most, internal review or retraining occurred (which is standard for a mistaken stop).
