I was told I *couldn’t* use the conference room and that “the staff bathroom has been used for that before. That was a swiftttt call to HR.

My job has a designated pumping room with a fridge and a nice recliner and most important a lock. I have never used it but it gets good use, so thankful my company is inclusive.

yeah the pumping room needs to be free from intrusion and readily available. so making it a conference room that you have to schedule is illegal

I’m a zoo volunteer and the built a nursing room with four private spaces for pumping/nursing, an adult changing table for special needs adults, a family bathroom, and a quiet room for sensory issues. I love it!

I am SO LUCKY that my company has a dedicated pumping room. The HR worker that designed it got the opportunity to a few years after she stopped pumping and was so thoughtful 🥹 I'm due April 1st and am excited to get to check it out. but we have had some issues with male workers thinking they can use it when it isn't in use for a small private meeting office. it literally isn't a conference room it says "MOTHERS ROOM" on the door. they got written up 😅

I worked at a bank that I got to pump in a tiny little closet without a locking door right off the breakroom. People would try to walk in to get things while I was pumping. Id have to put the chair in front of the door. it was awful.

I had an office and I would close my door, close the blinds, and put a sign up that said “do not enter. Please see (names)” with arrows pointing to other offices next to mine lol and my manager intercepted anyone that tried to knock on my door lol

We have a “sick room” a glorified name for a room people can lie down in if they have a bad headache. It never gets used so our breastfeeding mothers use it as a pumping room. It’s basically just a room with sofas.

When I started at my job, I was pumping in my office and having to put my breastmilk in the common lunch fridge which apparently upset the “working men” because they got grossed out by it 🙄 so HR bought me a mini fridge for my office

My old job tried to make it a small storage closet with no outlets and a single chair. The best plot twist. It was a chair that was removed from a room for BEDBUGS

I accidentally walked into the room with a lady pumping at work and I felt sooo bad 😭 it was genuine mistake, I don’t think the door had a lock too!

my job has multiple rooms.... but the closest to me is a 10plus minute walk from my building. I'll be shutting my office door and pumping with sign posted. anyone who knocks will just get me answering the door pumps still attached. imma make it awkward for everyone if you bother me

One time I pumped in the conference room - door locked, window covered, AND a sign that says “do not enter, private meeting”. Someone STILL TRIED to unlock the door to get in for a meeting 😒
