Guys you have got to unplug electrical stuff before sticking your fingers in there. That is 220 Voltage. It's not spicy. it's deadly

Your first 120v you go "What the FUCK was that?!, oh I just shocked my self" Your first 240v you don't even think for a few seconds after.

I always unplug anything because I'm scared I'll kill it more than myself. still a good practice to power down anything you're working on. you have these things called electic panels that make it easy

White is neutral power...Green is ground. They even color coded the screw. You are sending power to the entire metal frame...by closing the connection between the live power and the neutral power...and this is why most state require a licensed electrician for EVERYTHING...because otherwise people would be starting electrical fires daily.

This is the third video I've seen of a laundry machine improperly grounded like this. Wtf is going on? They come from the factory like this or is there an evil handiman out there?

um, ma'am thats wired wrong. unless ypur wires are mixed inside, theyre definitely mixed up outside. that white wire absolutely cannot be on the ground screw. check out the little paper that should be in a glued on plastic bag and rewire it. no bueno. id say you haven't hit the "i dont need no man" status. I also see a green wire inside paired with a white. listen, I know its 2026 and everyone's all progressive and denying absolutes and shit everything is a spectrum, blah blah, but in electrical, segregation is a thing and the green ground cannot identify as a white neutral, or the whole entire little electron civilization burns to the ground.
