@thecostadelcathcart: I have literally only just worked this out so I had to share it! I've noticed the last couple of winters that the hot tap on my bath hasn't been running as hot as it used to. As it's been 12 years since the bathroom was renovated I've just put it down to wear and tear and been counting down the years until another renovation of this space is back at the top of the to do list. Until today. It's been a long week and all I wanted was a long soak in a hot bath. My tap however continued to have other ideas. So fed up of this current status quo, I googled what might be causing it, and the answer appeared as if by magic: "If you have a combi boiler, turn the hot tap on slowly (just a trickle) to see if the water gets hot; high flow can overwhelm the boiler's heating capacity" Well I never! Anyhow as you can see I tested this immediately and lo and behold, a nice toasty hot bath! I'll claim my hack crown as soon as I've finished celebrating with some Fizzero🥂 It is dry January after all 🫠 P.s. if you already knew this, please don't bother coming for me.
