I remember seeing a comment on here years ago about this person seeing a random man at their breakfast table every morning, and not at all for the rest of the day. They asked their mom who that strange man was. Turns out he was their dad, they just never saw him and genuinely didn’t know who he was.

My dad passed away in 2024 at 61. He never got to experience retirement because he was a workaholic. He always talked about retiring but never did it despite my mom saying it's his choice. And now I no longer have a father in my life at 29. He worked at the same conpany for 40+ years and made good money but now he cannot enjoy that money and he was replaced within a week of passing. It's never worth it to work yourself to death. Your job will not care. Spend time with your family.
