we used to play mana drop: can play as many lands on your turn, upkeep draw to 7. Makes for crazy fast games and allows people to pop off quickly, probably best for more casual decks below b4

My POD plays a version we call "Blitz" You start with 5 basic lands and your commander already on the field. Everything else is played normally.

I just had a simple one. The first player still draws a card, but everyone begins the game with three tapped treasures. The treasures are still tapped for the first player.

White Elephant. Each player picks one card that gets put in an opponent’s deck. Rolling for who goes first determines where the card is placed after initial draw. Roll a seven, card goes in as the seventh card. When drawn, the card is played immediately for no cost, can’t be countered, and only affects that player.

my family does one where we all start with 4 lands (can't draw cards on turn one, or cast commander but can play as normal) i like playing because the games go faster and my kids have more fun this way
