@naturegirlmaya: PLEASE do not touch starfish or for that matter, any wildlife. this is what happens when starfish are taken out of the water. the man who took this starfish out held him for several minutes and THREW him back in. i tried to speak to him nicely and when he was rude, i quite literally yelled at him. he started calling me names and saying just really nasty things to me. after we went back and forth, he left the beach. i got back in the water, took the starfish, made sure to keep it in the water, and dove down with it to try to get the air out of it. it released air bubbles slowly but surely and eventually was able to stay at the bottom without floating back up. his little feet were still moving and he seemed stable when i left him but there’s a good chance he won’t survive this. it shocks me that grown adults act like this. starfish deserve better. wildlife deserves better. the ocean deserves better. this was truly heartbreaking to see. #starfish #seastar #florida #wildlife #ocean

A man in Oxford, England grabbed a swan (protected wildlife!) by the neck at the river to raise it to his face level for a selfie. I yelled at him and he dropped the swan, who looked confused and wobbly. I told him to get out of there and he started walking towards the train station. I followed behind him until he got on the train to leave. STAY ANGRY. Humans can be horrid. 😡
