For the people who don’t know the context . She was waiting to meet and ex she wronged in the past by aborting his child while she was already cheating on him with a rich man she ended up marrying but now years later is now cheating on her and she knows and was hoping that his ex coming back into her life would be her second chance in life and she started remembering all the good memories they had and started having feelings for him again and so eager so finally meet him again at a restaurant they agreed to meet but he ends up not showing up meaning she is all alone at the end . No marriage no love of her life . A failed marriage, a daughter that doesn’t talk to her , a career that doesn’t fulfill her , and the idea of her one true love GONE. Forever 🫡

It is well connected , him being the main character in the book and weak and then those guys that killed his family in a cruel way symbolizes her , what she didi to his baby and also when the character dies in the book this is the revenge , him dying in the book and then not showing up on the date is also a good way to connect it to the book.

The most painful movie ive watched. The mother daughter characters in the book are reflection of Amy's character and the daughter she chooses to abort. 😭
