Don't pray out loud? Is that in the bible? When Jesus was praying to God before he was crucified, when he asked, 'my God, my God why have you forsaken me?', did he whisper? Did he pray silently? The only time God condemns praying out loud is when he chastises hypocrites in the bible for praying out loud so that they can be seen and noticed. There is nothing wrong with talking to God out loud, just as there's nothing wrong with talking to him silently.
