@lauren_rosborough: It’s ok Ms.B. I understand❤️ Someone asked a beautiful question the other day that made perfect sense. If these old workhorses/mule are so hard to catch/handle now.. how were they ever worked before? The difference is, when they were being forced into a life of labor/submission.. their body and mind were in survival mode. They were easy to catch, because they HAD to be. They were easy to handle because there was no other choice. And of course I’m not saying this for every horse/previous home. But a lot of time in horsemanship, many people believe that force is the only way to achieve respect, however respect is always earned. Force leads to resentment. So once kids like Ms.B realize that there is no force here, to pain.. no fear, their body and mind comes out of that fight or flight mode. They can now make decisions for themselves. And right now.. Ms.B’s decision is.. I don’t mind you being close to me, but I’m not sure I want to be touched. And that is A. ok ❤️. She is on a journey of self discovery. This is all brand new to her and she’s never been this version of herself. The free version. Healing takes time. And remember, give yourself the same grace ❤️ . .#usa_tiktok #fyp #viral #usa #horse
