Not quite the same thing but this is great for kids of that age https://discover.org.uk/ the walk from Stratford station is a bit of a faff (about 10 mins) but once inside it’s great.

It’s a Museum of Childhood not necessarily a museum for children.

It’s only a good day out if you already live nearby tbh. We live in east London we cycle through there he goes and plays with a couple of things and then we eat it’s this nice Venezuelan restaurant near there. If I didn’t live nearby by I would not go all the way there

Well, different strokes for different people. My children and their friends enjoy going there and we've been there about 3x already. It is a museum FOR kids and a younger version of the V&A. Kids are expected to learn and play too. The last time I was there, there was an Egyptian exhibition that my kids really enjoyed. I can go on and on. I'd pick V&A's level of interractiveness over RAF.

I agree, my kids didn’t have much to interact with. We ended up spending hours in Victoria park after.

I felt the same about it. There really wasn’t much there. We prefer the raf museum. More interactive with a great park, and obviously kids love planes so that bit is self explanatory

We liked it. But I've never eaten there though as there are some really good family friendly restaurants across the road.

100% agree. For me it's ironically one of the least engaging museums for kids in London! I first went when my son was just crawling. The crawling area had almost nothing to interact with. I decided to give it another try when my son was 20mths to if it was just because he was too small. Nope. It's overhyped.
