your project will usually shrink like this after your first few rows, due to the tension naturally. your chains at the first row are likely more relaxed than the stitch you are using! i’d suggest a good block after you finish, or if you are going to frog and restart, try chaining up a little more than your measurement. it should retain it’s size as you work up :) you can also switch to a slightly bigger hook size after you chain the first row. love these colors btw! gorgeous!

Your stitches are too tight.. relax the tension as you crochet, don't hold the string so tight
