@thegirderclub: A 1936 DKW SS 250 at the Vintage Revival in Montlhéry. This little racing motorcycle ran on a 248cc two-stroke. This may not sound impressive, but it was. It had a water-cooled head and used a supercharged split-single cylinder layout, where two pistons operated in parallel within one combustion chamber. A separate piston-type charging pump acted as a supercharger. It was a dominant force in 250cc racing, and it was loud and thirsty. As you can hear, the recording equipment struggled to take the noise from those pipes!
