I’m surprised you didn’t make the island taller given your height. We just redid our kitchen and the perimeter countertops are normal but the island is at 42 inches. It’s perfect and we were able to add another row of drawers.

I’ve wanted a microwave drawer ever since I found them while on the search for accessible kitchen upgrades that don’t downgrade the aesthetics or value of our kitchen. We have a Bosch dishwasher and… well… at least it’s quiet. It does work well, I’ve sadly been disappointed with a few things because they’re such an amazing company and renowned, and it hasn’t really maintained the quality expectations the brand usually presents, and the experience I’ve had with multiple other products they make. Granted, we bought it from Lowe’s and paid for install and haul away, and not knowing how to install one ourselves, were unaware that it was done incorrectly, and it contributed to the door seal constantly allowing smooshy food particles to get out one side of it, but the main complaints are aesthetics, because the buttons (that aren’t even visible when closed) became discolored within two years, and despite proper care the stainless in the outer portion of the door began to rust. THAT SAID, I still think it was worth every penny as it works phenomenally, it allows for optimized loading (we are a family of six, so it’s an easy comparison to having a small dinner party), the energy savings are phenomenal, and the laser floor dot is an appreciated necessity to indicate when it’s running, as it’s truly that quiet (the only audible sound when it’s running, is from the sink while draining). We bought ours seven-ish years ago, and I know the company stays on the edge of technical innovation, so there’s no doubts, that newer models are far superior to the (now outdated) one we have currently. We’re planning to upgrade it this year, and even though our other appliances aren’t Bosch, we aren’t ruling the brand out. I would love to see Bosch expand ADA accessible designs. ADA accessibility, isn’t just for disabled people like myself, it’s universal! Products meeting —or even better, exceeding— ADA standards, are better tested for function, quality, and safety… and I’m disabled not de ad, neither is my sense of aesthetically pleasing design haha! Your kitchen is absolute GOALS btw 😍

I moved to a new house and I miss my Bosch dishwasher SO MUCH!! When I’m ready to upgrade. ALSO - I had never seen a built in fan that fits the cupboard above!! I couldn’t love that more. Thanks for showing this! AND - yes the reflection of the stone in the induction cook top is very special. 🥰

We purchased new appliances a few months ago and I’m so glad to see that I’m not the only one that gets excited about details like a pullout silverware tray, fingerprint resistant black stainless steel, flush mount details, etc!! Don’t get me started on the washing machine and dryer.😂
