Ibn Rushd is someone who has genuinely impressed me. I've read modern-day philosophers, mostly from the 20th century, and while their ideas are interesting, none of them left the same impact on me. Their philosophies felt more like descriptions of life rather than deep explanations of how things actually work. Maybe I haven't read them extensively or gone as deep into their work as I did with Ibn Rushd, but even so, the difference is obvious to me. What stands out about Ibn Rushd is how deeply logical he was. His way of thinking feels sharper and more structured compared to many modern philosophers, and even compared to Al-Ghazali (That doesn't mean I'm disrespecting him, just stating what I think). From what I've read so far, Al-Ghazali appears far more mystical in his approach. I haven't studied him in great detail, but even a brief exposure to his ideas gives the impression that his approach was mystical that's not bad. Ibn Rushd, on the other hand, relied heavily on reason, demonstration, and coherence. The way he connects philosophy, religion, and logic feels deliberate and intellectually honest. His thinking doesn't feel vague or symbolic for the sake of it, it feels grounded. So yes, this is my personal view, but Ibn Rushd has clearly left a strong impression on me. I admire his ideas, the way he reasons, and the clarity of his thought. The more I read him, the more convinced I became that he was operating on a level of logic that many others, both classical and modern, did not reach. also follow me on insta ajnabi._.6x #ibnrushd #philosophy #religion #fyp
