Sometimes they ask because they’re: • overwhelmed • tired • overstimulated • missing closeness • going through separation anxiety The breast = safety, warmth, rhythm, home. That doesn’t mean you’re “spoiling” them. It means their nervous system is still learning how to calm down. What can help (without always nursing): • hold them close (skin-to-skin works wonders) • talk calmly, name the feeling • gentle rocking or walking • offer another form of comfort (dad, carrier, cuddles) • remember: this phase passes You’re not doing anything wrong.
