it’s because they become so aware of lookism in the world and then they either adopt two mindsets, that they have conned the world and that looks are meaningless, based on how easily people are “tricked” by their looks The other mindset is that looks are the determination of character, and them looking good isn’t a con or trick or frauding, it was simply the path they were “destined” to take, all the discrimination when they were ugly was simply necessary to ascend them to their “rightful” looks. very sad to see the second mindset and I do believe you can blame those people for their behavior because they arrive at the mindset out of a purely selfish subconscious, they WANT to have “their turn” being the “chad” or whatever idea they have carved out, they want their turn to participate in lookism, but on the other side, rather than trying to rise above
