the idea that they have ti be the provider does so much damage to thier self esteem when they aren't. I seen it. My husband was the primarily caregiver when our kids where young before school started, it was so essential for us to have one of us doing that and he was just better at managing the kids, the house and everything. He felt like it wasn't enough but it was more then enough. It made all our lives better for him to make that choice for us.
