I remember growing up in the 80s all different ethnicities made fun of me by saying it was gross that I ate raw fish. I didn’t at the time. Weird to think how common sushi is now!

I hate it when they ask “where are you from?” And I truthfully say “I was born and raised here” and they have to push further about where my parents or where I descended from. I don’t ask others that. Then they go on to say “oh, I had a neighbor that was” same race as me. It’s not flattering.
