Def a tourist trap… now if this is your vibe and jam we’ll have fun! But don’t be discouraged there is a TON down there with great prices and more for your buck then a row of trailers

Go a little further south to Islamorada and stay at cheeca lodge. Less money, 3 restaurants and larger much nicer grounds. Or Hawks Cay.

pass, courtyard Marriott does essentially the same thing in key west for about half the cost, food is not included but I'll gladly spend the $50 to go out somewhere else and save the $500 per day to buy an extra day in paradise. these are nice but I don't know if it qualifies as "on a budget" most people don't have 7k to spend on a vacation every year, 2k is usually the cap and that's including travel expenses and I would call 2 day get away a "vacation"

Think I paid around half that at the Waldorf Astoria Casa Marina in Key West. Also Cafe Marquesa if you want this boutique feel. Same thing. Less than half the price. Basically had my own pool. Walking distance to town. Their restaurant is also one of the best in the keys
