This is a prime example of why I believe so many indigenous civilizations have been forgotten/erased. Imagine how many ancient cultures could be buried under forest, sand, or clay in the US alone, just because they used renewable resources.

yes the last games were very depressing. Held at the height of the Gothic Wars in a much-sacked and depopulated city, only a few thousand attendees sat in a venue that could easily hold 150,000.
