It’s the machine. I have the same one that I learned on. I’m also a new to sewing, only several months in. Once I purchased a Juki I never had an issue.

Try using the ByAnnie Soft and Stable bag stabilizer. I hear it’s an easier foam to see. You did great. 🥰

Maybe try a stitch in the ditch for the top stitching? I think it looks great but if you were wanting to try again I would suggest that.

The quilted bag is likely smaller than the one you made with interfacing because quilting can shrink the fabric from the volume of the batting/foam. Not your fault!
