So in your book, Andy Warhol, Robert Maplethorpe, Bruce Weber, Helmut Newton, Edward Weston, Man Ray, Imogen Cunningham, Alfred Stieglitz, Herb Ritts, Nobuyoshi Araki, Jan Saudek, George Hurrell, Francesco Scavullo to name a few are all “ creepy, and weird” in your book. thanks for sharing. I'm an amateur photographer and really want to start shooting portraits and fashion style photos. I was thinking of offering free shoots to aspiring models for practice, and to build my portfolio, but am so aware how it could come across and wouldn't want anyone to feel like they're being used for anything other than the photography practice! I guess the key thing from what you've said is hire studio space and I would be very open about not being established and suggest they bring a friend or family member if they want.
