inner dialogue can be a tricky thing to work with. you can notice it and be aware of it but actually changing it is a very different thing. I don't have the answers and wonder about it myself, but sometimes just being mindful is enough. be mindful of what's happening, don't react impulsively and try your best to be kind to yourself and give yourself grace. connect to faith and trust that you are on the right path.

I’ve been working on rejection exposure and taking emotional risks, and although I do ultimately regulate and move on, there is still a period after the initial rejection where I feel pretty low/ self deprecating. Am I still healing if I still have a window of experiencing negative emotions after rejection? Or are those emotions an indicator that I’m not doing it correctly? I know that I’m not going to immediately jump to a state of zen in my healing process, but how do I know if my negative emotions are just growing pains or if it’s actually a sign I’m continuing to reinforce limiting beliefs and am not progressing?

I think one way could be just testing to not end things, but to give it more time… to me it was very much about not wanting to be surprised by rejection so I turned to rejecting ”first”. When I tested not to end things I ended up in a 3 years relationship… Also, recognizing why you are scared of rejection it’s important. Face yourself, and recognize your shame for what it is. Takes time but helps in the long run

What if it’s friends not talking when they’re mad? And then ignoring you or acting weird? I end up unfollowing and cutting off the relationship

How much exposure? How many people dated or over how many months? (or whichever meassurement makes most sense)
Because I have ridiculous high rejection sensitivity. And I'm well aware of it. But its exhausting. So I'm wondering how long it would take to make it calm down.

Ok so my issue I think is the fact that when I reject a guy it’s usually for personal reasons e.g. they aren’t my vibe in terms of personality, lifestyle, things they say and a lot of the time attraction. Now if I start feeling rejected, I seem to echo these thought to my own self because I know in my head I reject people for those reasons so they’re doing the same, to me. Therefore I take it as they’re not attracted to me/interested in who I am. I think that’s what makes it hard not to take it personally if I do sense a pull away after dating. How do you navigate that?

our brain creates stories and they are usually way worse than reality. I constantly rewatch shows I already know the ending of. I often stop watching a series if the story starts to change negatively (a couple starts to fight etc) .
I choose the negative story before they do. I do not know how to do neutral ... I usually think of the worse possible thing. Like the guy who I might like is already having sex right now with someone else or they think I'm gross, ugly or not good enough in some way. it's terrible.
