This is not an attack on anyone. It is a call for reflection but If you need people to contribute for your marriage, you’re not ready for marriage. It may sound harsh, but sometimes the truth is what we need to hear. We cannot keep normalizing irresponsibility and then wonder why so many families struggle. Marriage is a responsibility not an event to impress people with💔 What’s even more concerning is that someone who couldn’t afford to get married go on to have children they are not financially, emotionally or mentally prepared to raise Then when questioned they quote: “Al-mālu wal-banūna zīnatul-ḥayāti d-dunyā” (Wealth and children are the adornment of this worldly life.) But they forget that Allah also says: “Innamā amwālukum wa awlādukum fitnah” (Indeed, your wealth and your children are but a test.) Islam teaches responsibility before rights. The Prophet taught us to be accountable for those under our care. If we truly want stronger families and a better Ummah we must stop glorifying irresponsibility and start promoting preparation, accountability and responsible parenthood.
