FREE immersive art exhibit in Waikiki! 🎨✨ All ages welcome. 📍 In the Southern Sun @inthesouthernsun 2424 Kalākaua Avenue Hyatt Regency Waikiki 🅿️ We parked in the Honolulu Zoo lot ($1.50/hour) and walked over. It’s about a 15-minute walk. 🆓 Admission is free! The exhibit is sustained through voluntary “pay what you can” donations. There’s a Venmo QR code at the entrance (we made a contribution!) ⏰ Hours: • Tuesday–Friday: 12:00 PM–7:30 PM • Saturday–Sunday: 3:00 PM–7:30 PM • Closed Mondays This seasonally changing exhibit features murals, installations, and multi-sensory artwork that you can explore at your own pace. The gallery is self-guided, air-conditioned, and surprisingly kid-friendly. My 3-year-old absolutely loved it, and we spent over an hour wandering through the different exhibits. If you’re looking for a free family activity in Waikiki or a place to escape the heat for a bit, this is definitely worth checking out! Grab shave ice from Island Vintage or stop by Kuhio beach after! 🚻 Restrooms are available inside the Hyatt Regency Waikiki.
