Leave the TV or a radio on when you leave. It helps them not feel so alone, kind of distraction them. My 2 furbabies now love to watch TV. lol

tip for you, if you get back home don't pet him right away, act as it is normal, because it is. put away clothes and bags, talk to each other like nothing happened and don't engage with the puppy first thing entering, especially with that voice everyone does. I know it will be hard but believe me you don't want him to scream whenever you leave the house. oh and when you leave don't make a fuss about it either, just leave without a goodbye, you may give him something to chew before leaving so he has something to do
