@dahirmhashim: Effective governance is sustained by strong institutions, disciplined systems, and consistent delivery. Over the past year, we have deliberately focused on restoring coordination, strengthening accountability, and embedding operational standards that enable the environment sector to function with clarity and purpose. Under the clear leadership of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the environment portfolio has been firmly positioned as central to public safety, public health, and sustainable development. This strategic direction has allowed institutions to regain stability, accelerate execution, and translate policy frameworks into practical interventions across sanitation, flood and erosion control, water access, afforestation, climate policy, and institutional reform. Our progress reflects the professionalism and daily commitment of our directors, technical officers, engineers, inspectors, advisors, and frontline teams, working in close collaboration with development partners including PACE (FCDO), UNICEF, and others, and supported by active community participation across the state. The priority ahead is to consolidate these gains, deepen institutional capacity, and sustain steady delivery in service of a cleaner, safer, and more resilient Kano State. Dr. Dahiru M.
