Okay but hear me out (yeah I already got people fuming.) I myself am an artist, I still struggle for 5 hours to draw 5 lines while doing lineart. But ai IS a tool, and just like everything we do its gonna have side effects. I use ai what it was made to do, assist me in my art work. When I need visuals I ask for them and then draw it out myself with some changed because chatgtp be doing too much at times. I asked chatgtp for ideas on how to respectfully go over certain topics with my characters. I still don’t like when ai is abused (c.ai, sora ai, just apps that steal creativity and thinking skills by making you dependent on them.)

My parents say they understand that ai affects us but when I talk about how it’s making artwork, suddenly “They make really beautiful art, it made me and your dad this art!” She doesn’t give that same energy to ai music or writing, just art. It makes me angry because it makes me feel like she doesn’t care about real artists like me, she doesn’t want to understand how this hurts us.

STOP using plastic, AI, vapes, cigarettes, google, overusing planes, throwing clothes away, funding harmful companies, buying products you don't need... START recycling, giving food to the homeless, protesting, giving old clothes to charities/thriftshops, picking trash up, turning light off when you don't need it, donating to charities, using public transport/bikes... SWITCH from Google to ECOSIA or Ocean Hero. Every time you search ECOSIA plants another tree seed. Every time you search Ocean Hero collects plastic from the ocean. DELETE ChatGPT “but I’m just one person I can’t do much”~ says 8 billion people, if we all start doing small changes we can make make a big change in our planet
